The Nature of the Universe

Who am I? What am I? Why am I here? Perplexing questions that have puzzled truth seekers since the beginning of consciousness. But I’m afraid few of us are serious truth seekers. Most of us seem to muddle our way through life ignoring existential questions, believing the thing staring back from the mirror is what we are. Not caring to know that who we think we are is just the tip of the iceberg. And like an iceberg, the enormous truth lies beneath the surface just waiting to be discovered.

The entire universe, whether in an actual physical state, or in a potential state, is one infinite field of conscious, intelligent energy many think of as God, but which might also be thought of as the One Mind. The One Mind is the source and supply of everything. All things exist as energy forms of, and within, this eternal, invisible field of conscious, intelligent energy.

The One Mind is one limitless electrical field, if you will, which has the potential to become anything depending on what is asked of it.

One Mind has the inherent ability to focus its energy to assume an infinite variety of positive, negative, or neutral forms, some visible, most invisible to human senses. Things, including us, may appear to be individual but are actually visible extensions of the One Mind source.  All one energy, just in different forms. 

Is the One Mind some imaginary mysterious force that has yet to be identified?  It is mysterious yes, but it can no longer be considered imaginary. It’s an actual force we’re beginning to recognize and understand as scientists explore the bizarre world of quantum mechanics. An invisible universe where nothing is as it seems and physical particles are smaller and smaller until nothing remains but pure wave energy, the One Mind realm.

Is the One Mind some insensible and indifferent fantasy factory mindlessly churning out random forms and events, or does it control everything? If it were insensible and indifferent wouldn’t random events eventually destroy the natural balance that fosters and supports all things, including the myriad mysteries of life all around us? Is it a neutral storehouse of potential allowing chaos as well as order? Of course not, otherwise there would be no rules, no limits, when it’s clear there are physical laws that govern every system.

The One Mind is like a benevolent parent; it will intervene when random events threaten. to overwhelm the system. 

Remember: One Mind contains all potential. And that includes information necessary to create and sustain all possible thoughts, ideas, languages, and form. Literally every possibility, known and unknown, visible and invisible, imaginable or unimaginable by limited beings. One Mind has the inherent genius to organize its infinite potential any way it chooses to create anything it desires, and that includes each of us.

Imagine the One Mind as an endless sea. Then imagine yourself as a droplet of water dissolved in the sea. The droplet is the sea, but the sea is not the droplet. The sea is all the droplets that exist or ever could exist.  The sea can be influenced to produce an infinite variety of droplets depending on the force applied to it.

The same is true of One Mind energy. It can influence its self to produce an infinite variety of visible and invisible forms, which of course includes all physical life. It assumes form by organizing its potential energy into a focus which then sets about gathering energy into whatever complex of form the focus requires.

A focus is what we know as a thought. A thought forms from and within One Mind. The thought then becomes the architect of form, assembling the required components from One Mind energy to create the desired result.

To expand its awareness, One Mind organized its energy into a physical realm to support the state we call life, and a spirit realm where a connected consciousness can experience events, sensations, and emotions only possible through physical beings. An individual spirit is diffuse One Mind energy organized into individual consciousness. Individual consciousness remains energy within One Mind, linked to, but separate from, physical form. 

One Mind as the energy of everything means it is also the energy of you. Every living thing is the same energy organized into different forms. The One Mind energy that is you, which began as diffuse thought, has been organized to be your physical essence by the thoughts and actions of your ancestors. The One Mind energy that is you has been organized to be your mental essence, or personality, by the programming your developing physical brain receives.

Like the droplet is the sea, you are universal, intelligent energy existing simultaneously in the infinite energy sea of One Mind as both an individual being in the physical realm, and a connected individual consciousness in the spirit realm.

Awareness of this truth of what we are is essential for individual conscious to persist beyond physical death.
